Brantwood Nursing and Rehab Center Employee

OXFORD, NC (April 13, 2009) – Brantwood Nursing and Rehab Center employee Margaret Yancey Hart recently met the standards set by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) to become a certified activity director.

The NCCAP is one of the certifying bodies recognized by Federal law and incorporated in many state regulations. NCCAP is the only national organization that exclusively certifies activity professionals who work with the elderly. NCCAP certification is recognized by the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS). The organization's mission is to set standards and criteria to ensure that those they serve have optimal quality of life.

"Ms. Hart's dedication to her work and the residents here at Brantwood Nursing and Rehab Center is illustrated by this recent certification," said Carolyn Hill, LNHA, Senior Director of Support Services. “We are proud to have so many outstanding team members, such as Margaret, who consistently deliver quality care as we continue to provide the community we serve with the very best health care," Hill continued.

Named for Granville County’s first hospital, Brantwood Nursing and Rehab Center is an important component of Granville Health System and its programs. Brantwood is accredited by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Hospital Associations and licensed by the Division of Facility Services of North Carolina to serve eighty residents. The facility offers personalized care in an active home-like environment. Located on the main campus of Granville Health System, Brantwood provides a full range of nursing services including a comprehensive rehabilitation program, skilled nursing care, pharmaceutical services, and a variety of other therapeutic services.

"Margaret has worked at Brantwood for more than 17 years. The residents love her and think of her as family," said Cindy Powell, GHS Activity Director for Brantwood Nursing and Rehab Center.
