GHS Technologist Named Preceptor of the Year

OXFORD, NC (June 25, 2009) – Pearl Hargrove, an operating room technologist at Granville Health System (GHS), received this year’s “Preceptor of the Year” award from Miller-Motte College in Cary.


This recognition was given to Ms. Hargrove for her outstanding contributions to the educational development of future surgical technologists by demonstrating high standards of professionalism, ethics, and surgical practice. Ms. Hargrove has been involved in the training of students from the Surgical Technology degree program for the past three years.


The objective of the Surgical Technology program is to prepare competent entry-level surgical technologists who are qualified for a career as a member of the operating room team, working together with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other surgical team members.
