GHS Wins Two Aster Awards for Excellence in Health Care Marketing

 

OXFORD, NC (May 22, 2009) –Granville Health System (GHS) has been nationally recognized by the 2009 Aster Awards Program for excellence in health care marketing.

 

“Our marketing department is dedicated to delivering clear and effective information to the community," said L. Lee Isley, Chief Executive Officer for Granville Health System. “We are proud of the positive impact our campaign has made regionally and of the success and recognition our team has achieved at a national level.”

 

Honored for advertising excellence, Granville Health System received a gold award for magazine advertisement for a service line–behavioral health. In addition, GHS was awarded the bronze for excellence in a magazine advertising series for the health system’s “My Hospital” campaign.

 

“The marketing team’s hard work and dedication is exhibited by this noteworthy achievement. I am so very proud that our health system is being honored with these awards,” said Cristina R. Blalock, Senior Director of Ambulatory Services for Granville Health System. “The team’s vision supports the GHS mission as we continue to provide quality care to the patients in the communities we serve.”

 

The Aster Awards, one of the largest competitions of its kind, is an elite national program that recognizes outstanding health care professionals for excellence in their advertising and marketing efforts. A gold recognition places Granville Health System in the top 5% of the nation as judged by the annual competition.

 

The 2009 Aster Awards consisted of approximately 3,000 entries from across America. Participant's entries competed against similar-sized organizations in their category. Entries must score at least in the top 85 percent to receive an award. Judging criteria includes creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal.

Entries in the Aster Awards were judged by a diverse panel of health care marketing experts. All winners are posted on the Aster Awards' website www.AsterAwards.com, as well as published in Marketing Healthcare Today, a national health care marketing magazine.
