Members of Granville Health System’s (GHS) Senior Leadership and Director teams recently presented an educational program at the 38th Annual Meeting and Exposition of the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA 2010). The national event was held on August 22 at the Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center in Washington, DC.

More than 1,000 imaging leaders attended the educational event for radiology administrators. The national conference offered sessions addressing a wide range of management issues, including: finance, human resources, communication and information, operations, and assets.
The GHS presentation team included Sharon Buchanan, Director of Imaging, Maria Calloway, GHS Chief Nursing Officer and L. Lee Isley, GHS Chief Executive Officer. The group presented “Breaking Down the Silos: Driving Quality Care through Positive Change.”  The session documented the success GHS’s imaging department has achieved in recent years through new leadership and an improved work culture, while refining the delivery of quality outpatient and inpatient care.
“We were pleased to be included in this national program,” said L. Lee Isley, GHS Chief Executive Officer. “Under the leadership of Maria Calloway, Sharon Buchanan and the imaging team have done an exceptional job in delivering a high level of patient care.

The session explained the benefits of technological advancement made by Granville Health System and the high level of care achieved through increased communication and a strong commitment to customer service.
“Our director of imaging services, Sharon Buchanan, has helped develop our program and take it to the next level,” said Calloway. “The advancements made and outlined in this session have provided immediate benefits to the community we serve. As the area’s main medical provider, we are committed to delivering quality health care and providing excellent service to our patients.”
