Granville Internal Medicine Welcomes Yashica Ruffin, M.D.
Granville Health System (GHS) announced that Granville Internal Medicine will welcome Yashica Ruffin, MD, MPH, to the practice on March 1, 2012.
Dr. Ruffin is board certified through the American Board of Family Medicine. Family medical practitioners provide care for the entire family, including both preventive care (routine checkups) and diagnosis and treatment of acute chronic illness. Dr. Ruffin is accepting new patients and appointments can be made by calling the office at 919.693.6541.
Moving from her role with Granville ExpressCare, Dr, Ruffin will continue providing the same primary care services at 1032 College Street in Oxford, on the hospital’s main campus. She will also continue seeing patients Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“I am pleased to announce that Dr. Yashica Ruffin will continue to be available for extended hour visits with no appointment needed,” said Georgeen Ertischek, Administrative Director, GHS Primary Care Services. “Granville Internal Medicine will offer Dr. Ruffin’s patients additional convenience due to its centralized location and proximity to other support services such as laboratory and imaging services.”
Dr. Ruffin’s special interests include women’s health, wellness, adolescent health and physical health. She is also active in community health education. On March 21, Dr. Ruffin will speak on “Vitamin D and Your Health,” at the Granville County Expo and Convention Center (4185 US Hwy 15, Oxford). The free event starts at 11:30 a.m. and lunch is provided. The program is sponsored by Granville Health System.
