Granville Health System to Receive $10 Million in North Carolina State Budget

The North Carolina General Assembly passed and Governor Cooper has signed the final, compromise state budget this week and it provides $10 million to the Granville Health System (GHS) for capital expenditures. This substantial appropriation from the legislature will help to fund improvements to critical infrastructure at the hospital.

“This important funding from our state government will allow our hospital to continue to fulfill its mission of improving the health of our residents in Granville County and north Central North Carolina,” said John F. Snow, Chief Executive Officer. “We would like to thank our Granville legislative delegation led by Representative Larry Yarborough, along with Senator Mike Woodard and Representative Terry Garrison for encouraging the legislature to invest in the health of our neighbors and community. By renovating and upgrading Granville Health’s buildings and infrastructure, we will be able to have a significant impact on the health outcomes of our patients for years to come.”

For the past 100 years, Granville Health System has been delivering quality health care close to home. To meet the growing needs of our community, Granville Health System has expanded its services throughout Granville County, offering convenient access to medical care where you work and live.
