Jason M. Pesqueira, MD
Dr. Pesqueira was born in Bethesda, Maryland and, as a Navy brat, has lived in several states. He found his passion in healthcare from a young age by volunteering at free clinics and as a Red Cross volunteer. He was constantly on the lookout for a sector in healthcare field that offered more personable and lasting relationships. He decided that there would be no better way to serve than in the U.S. Navy, where he spent 11 years caring for active duty members and their families. He completed his residency training at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, where he was awarded Resident of the Year and Resident Teacher of the Year. Dr. Pesqueira believes his years working as a Family Physician locally and deployed have equipped him with invaluable knowledge and professional maturity. He has a deep understanding of human growth and development from birth to late adulthood and is comfortable and confident with many basic procedures (e.g. circumcision, skin biopsy, contraceptive management, joint injections). He enjoys spending time with his family, barbecuing, biking, running, traveling, and doing pretty much anything outdoors. He is also an avid Seminoles fan from his days at Florida State University (Go Noles!)
