Dr. Vinod Jindal, Board Certified Ophthalmologist and Fellowship trained Retina specialist, is committed to serve the community by providing the best possible care to his patients. Dr. Jindal completed his medical degree at Punjabi University Medical School in India and earned his Diplomate in Ophthalmology. He continued his studies, earning a Master of Ophthalmic Surgery at India’s Mangalore University, where he completed his residency. He served as Ophthalmic Surgeon at the Arpana Eye and General Hospital in Madhuban, Haryana, India before becoming a postdoctoral research fellow at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He then received a postdoctoral clinical fellowship in Vitreo-Retinal Diseases and Surgery at Southern Eye Associates in Raleigh, NC.
Next, to fulfill conditions of the American Board of Ophthalmology he completed his internship in Internal Medicine at New York Hospital Medical Center, Cornell University, NY and Ophthalmology Residency at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, LA.
Dr. Jindal is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, member of the NC Medical Society, and member of the NC Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Jindal, a skilled and compassionate surgeon, has performed more than 30,000 procedures, continues to pursue the latest technology. In addition to advanced- management of diseases of Retina-Vitreous- Macula with intra vitreal anti-Veg F, photodynamic treatments with visudyne, sutureless vitrectomies. He introduced multiple advanced eye procedures in Granville, Vance, and the Warren County areas. In cataract surgery he introduced multifocal and accommodative intraocular lenses- Restor, Panoptic and Crystalens; in Glaucoma surgery Trabeculectomy with express shunt, Endocyclophotocoagulation and many more.

Dr. Jindal has been very involved with ophthalmic research and recent advances in ophthalmic surgeries to include vitreo-retinal surgery. Dr. Jindal and Granville Medical Center are the only resources in the tri-county region to offer this advanced surgery. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Jindal enjoys sketching and making new friends.
