GHS Foundation Accepts Donation from Bridgestone Bandag
OXFORD, NC (November 4, 2014) – The Granville Health System (GHS) Foundation announced that Bridgestone Bandag, LLC (Bridgestone Americas) has pledged a donation of $30,000 to the organization through its Bandag retreading facility in Oxford.
The GHS Foundation serves as a charitable resource for Granville Health System by building support for GHS and providing financial resources to purchase new equipment, develop new services, maintain and improve facilities, and recruit new health professionals to Granville County.
“Bridgestone Bandag has been a generous partner to this community,” said L. Lee Isley, CEO of Granville Health System. “This donation underscores their commitment to Granville County and to the health of our community.”
Gifts to the GHS Foundation have enabled the Health System to undertake a number of projects designed to provide quality care. Recently, an expansion and renovation of Granville Health System’s main campus in Oxford was completed. The project included a new emergency department at Granville Medical Center that added nearly 15,000 square feet and offers 12 private exam rooms with the latest technology in health care. The Foundation has also supported the addition of a new energy plant, an improved roadway system and a new laboratory with a dedicated waiting area for patients
As a donor, Bridgestone Bandag will be added to the GHS Foundation Giving Wall, located at Granville Medical Center. The Giving Wall allows for the community, local businesses, civic organizations, family and friends to be recognized for their support of the GHS Foundation and Granville Health System.
“The GHS Foundation is truly grateful to Bridgestone Bandag for this donation,” said Foundation Chairman Gary Bowman. “GHS is a community health system and this gift will help support the organization and its commitment to deliver quality care to the area.”
