GHS Foundation Announces Second Annual Granville 5K Ambulance Chase
The Granville Health System Foundation announces a 5K competitive run, 5K Fun Run, 1-Mile Family Walk and 100-Yard Kids Dash to benefit the Granville Health System Foundation. The event will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Oxford Recreation Complex on East Spring Street and offers something for everyone from serious runners to families looking for a day of fun.
Registration for the activities will begin at 7:30 a.m. inside Hix Gym or participants can pre-register online active.com.
- 5K competitive race begins at 9:00 a.m. on East Spring Street and continues along a certified 5K course.
- 5K Fun Run begins at 9:10 a.m. on East Spring Street and is a great choice for participants and groups who are less concerned with their race time.
- 1-Mile Family Walk begins at 10:00 a.m. on East Spring Street.
- 100-Yard Kids Dash begins at 10:30 a.m. on the football field at Hix Gym.
Costs for the 5K and 1-Mile Family walk are $25 for same-day registration or $20 pre-registered. This price includes a race tee shirt and awards for the top finishers. The 100-Yard Kids Dash is just $10 with no late fee and includes a medal.
The event is being sponsored by Wells Fargo Insurance Services, HealthScope Benefits, NC Pediatric Associates and Morrison Management Specialists.
