GHS Foundation Hosts Most Successful Art Gala in their 7-Year History
OXFORD, NC (February 3, 2016) – The Granville Health System (GHS) Foundation announced at its first quarterly meeting of the year that the seventh annual Art Gala raised more than $114,000 in support of Granville Health System. The funds raised will support the System’s new medical equipment and technology. This year’s event attracted nearly 180 members of the community.
The Art Gala featured more than 80 raffle and auction items including hand-crafted art and photography by local artists such as Bunny Matthews, Doug Logan, Lilia Brigham, Brad Tucker, Sylvia Harrison, Lisa Oakley, Tara Torrence, Laurie Stephens, and Debarah Barber-Faucette. Also included were sports packages, tickets for the performing arts and culinary experiences. Trip packages were offered for Charlottesville; Las Vegas; Red Lodge, Montana; Carolina Beach; and Kiawah Island. The auction was conducted by William Adcock of Adcock Realty.
“The support of this area for their community hospital is absolutely overwhelming,” said Gary Bowman, President of the Foundation Board. “We thank you for your continued support of Granville Health System.”
