Granville Health System Celebrates National EMS Week
Granville Health System (GHS) celebrated National EMS Week on May 17 – 23, 2020. The week was first set aside in 1974 for the important work emergency management teams do in our communities.
“As we celebrate EMS Week this year, we are recognizing those on the front lines of the fight against the coronavirus,” said Granville Health System CEO John F. Snow. “Our dedicated EMS personnel at Granville Health System and all EMS personnel serving North Central North Carolina are safeguarding the health, safety, and well-being of our communities.”
The 2020 EMS Week theme is Ready Today. Preparing for Tomorrow. This theme, which was developed long before the COVID-19 crisis, is particularly meaningful now as EMS units rally to support those affected by this crisis, all while still responding to the everyday emergencies that continue to occur in their communities.
“Thank you to Granville EMS and all the EMS personnel in the communities we serve,” said Snow. “Your work is remarkable and appreciated by our health system and the communities you serve.”
“Granville EMS is proud to serve this community,” said Jonathan Pernell, Director of EMS. “We thank all on the front lines heroes who are fighting the coronavirus pandemic.”
