Granville Health System CEO John Snow Resigns
John Snow, Chief Executive Officer of Granville Health System has tendered his resignation to Board of Trustees Chairman David Smith. Mr. Smith reports that the Board will move quickly to develop a transition plan for interim leadership and recruitment of a new CEO. In reporting Mr. Snow’s resignation, Mr. Smith emphasized the Board’s appreciation of Mr. Snow’s leadership over the past four years through many challenges including the Covid-19 pandemic. Mr. Smith said “While GHS will miss Mr. Snow and his passion for GHS’s mission, vision, and values, we know that GHS will continue to thrive and grow. Now, more than ever, our community needs a strong locally owned and controlled hospital providing quality care close to home. The Board of Trustees looks forward to working with Mr. Snow during the transition and wishes him the best for the future.”
When asked for comment, Mr. Snow said: “It has been a pleasure to work with everyone associated with Granville Health System and the communities we serve. It has been an honor to serve this organization and its courageous and dedicated employees and medical staff. I will remember the Granville Health System team and this community fondly. I wish only the best for the health system’s continued success in its mission to promote well-being, accelerate healing, and inspire hope.”
The Board plans to identify and engage an executive search firm with experience in recruiting top healthcare executive talent to help identify GHS’s new CEO. Except for Mr. Snow, the current administrative team will remain in place. The Board appreciates the dedication of GHS’s medical staff and employees and looks forward to a smooth transition.
