Granville Health System Foundation Hosting Fundraising Gala
Granville County, NC, September 10, 2024 – The Granville Health System Foundation is thrilled to announce the return of their annual fundraising Gala! This year’s Gala will be held Saturday, November 23rd and will be hosted at the Henderson Country Club. This elegant evening aims to raise essential funds to enhance the Labor & Delivery Unit at Granville Health System, ensuring that every new life in our community begins in the best possible environment.
Through their annual Gala, the Granville Health System Foundation has had 15 + years of successful fundraising and support for Granville Health System. In past years, the Foundation’s support has allowed Granville Health System to meet many essential needs. Foundation monies have helped support renovations to South Granville Medical Center, expanding access to care in the southern end of Granville County. In addition, the Foundation support has enabled Granville Health System to purchase a new CT machine, essential diagnostic equipment, as well as supported the expansions and renovations of the Emergency Department allowing for the ongoing outstanding care of all members of our community.
This year the Foundation has selected the renovations and upgrading of the Granville Health System Labor & Delivery Unit. Martha Wrenn, Foundation Board Member and Co-Chair of the Gala committee states, “The Foundation knew that Granville Health System is not just another healthcare facility. Believing in the Health System’s continued goal of providing outstanding and exceptional patient care and services, we knew that supporting the renovations in the Labor & Delivery Unit would ensure that each and every family will continue to receive the very best care during this exciting and life changing time in their lives.”
The community’s support of the Gala will directly impact the well-being of countless families in Granville County and surrounding areas. It is through enhanced facilities and equipment Granville Health System will continue to attract and retain exceptional healthcare professionals to ensure that they can and will consistently provide top-notch high-quality care for future generations to come.
The Granville Health System Foundation was created from the awareness that our local health care system is county owned, therefore it receives its substantial financial support from our local county community taxes & funding, along with some state and federal grants. As such, Granville Health System is only one of the essential items that are a part of the overall Granville County budget.
