Granville Health System Foundation to Hold Third Annual Royal Tea Party

The Granville Health System Foundation has announced that it will hold the Third Annual Royal Tea Party on Saturday, August 6 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Henderson Country Club.

Upon entering the spacious Ball Room, you will enjoy the panoramic view from the Veranda that overlooks the Club’s beautiful ninth green, while relaxing to the subtle notes of live musical selections, from classics to Broadway tunes, by the Evelyn Snyder String Trio.

Advance reservations are required for the afternoon tea, which will feature a four-course menu with delicious tea; a trio plate of Savories (tea sandwiches); two types of Fresh Scones with Strawberry Jam; and a Lemon Sorbet with Raspberry, Fresh Whipped Cream and a Drizzle Finish that is a work of art. The non-alcoholic Peach Bellini served for the Royal course will complete the meal.

To enliven the afternoon, a Parade of Hats will be held, with individual prizes for the Most Beautiful Hat and the Most Creative Hat, as well as a group prize for the Best Matched Outfits (groups of 2 or more people). There will also be a prize for the Family with the Most Members at the Tea. In addition, a certificate for a family portrait, donated by Cole Rodger Photographics, will be awarded to the Family with the Most Generations at the Tea. Join us as we celebrate and honor generations of families from the area.

During the event original paintings, photographs, pottery, books, jewelry and other items will also be displayed throughout the room, and will be available for the silent auction. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Granville Health System Foundation.

“Tea attire,” including hats and gloves, is welcome. Tickets for the event are $35 per person. To order tickets online, visit ghsFoundation.org/TeaParty. For additional information, please call 919.690.2149.
