Granville Health System Honors Tamara Wells as 2024–2025 Nurse of the Year
Granville Health System is proud to announce Tamara Wells, RN, as the recipient of the 2024–2025 Nurse of the Year Award. A dedicated member of the Surgical Services Department, Tamara has made an extraordinary impact on patients, colleagues, and the organization since joining GHS just two years ago.
Each year, Granville Health System recognizes one nurse whose contributions embody the highest standards of patient care, compassion, and clinical excellence. Tamara’s nomination was filled with praise from peers and leaders alike, highlighting her tireless devotion, unwavering empathy, and the grace with which she serves every patient.

Throughout her time at GHS, Tamara has consistently gone above and beyond—whether it’s holding a patient’s hand, calming someone who is frightened, or staying late to ensure continuity of care. Her presence makes patients feel safe, heard, and valued. It’s a kind of kindness that can’t be taught.
Beyond bedside care, Tamara has stepped up as a leader in her unit, mentoring new nurses with patience and positivity, and contributing meaningfully to team morale and performance. Her influence is felt not only in patient rooms, but throughout the entire Surgical Services team.
