The Granville Health System Foundation Announces the Annual 5K Ambulance Chase and Food Truck Rodeo
OXFORD, NC (March 12, 2014) – The Granville Health System Foundation announced that discount registration is available for the 2014 Ambulance Chase and Food Truck Rodeo – a 5K Competitive Run, 5K Fun Run, 1-Mile Family Walk and 100-Yard Kids Dash to benefit the Granville Health System Foundation. Event costs are discounted by $5 by utilizing online registration at www.ghs5K.org.
The event will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 in partnership with the Downtown Oxford Economic Development Corporation and offers something for everyone – from serious runners to families looking for a day of fun. A Food Truck Rodeo has also been added this year.
The Food Truck Rodeo will be held for the entire community from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Littlejohn Street parking lot. There is no charge for admission into the Rodeo and a variety of trucks will be in attendance, including:
- Baton Rouge Cuisine of Creedmoor
- Foster’s on the Fly
- Big John’s Hot & Spicy
- Gussy’s Greek Street Food
- Liv’s Food Truck
- Maria’s Taco Truck
- Deputy Dawg Concessions & Catering of Oxford
- JAM Ice Cream
- The Railhouse Brewery
Registration for the activities will begin at 3:00 p.m. inside Stovall’s Gifts or participants can pre-register online at active.com.
- 5K competitive race begins at 4:00 p.m. on Main Street and continues along a certified course
- 5K Fun Run begins at 4:05 p.m. on Main Street and is a great choice for participants and groups who are less concerned with their race time
- 1-Mile Family Walk begins at 5:00 p.m. on Main Street
- 100-Yard Kids Dash begins at 5:30 p.m. Littlejohn Street
- Food Truck Rodeo from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Littlejohn Parking Lot
Costs for the 5K and 1-Mile Family walk are $25 for same-day registration or $20 pre-registered. This price includes a race tee shirt and awards for the top finishers. The 100-Yard Kids Dash is just $10 with no late fee and includes a medal. There is no charge for admission into the Food Truck Rodeo.
