The Granville Health System Foundation to Hold 4th Annual Granville Ambulance Chase & Food Truck Rodeo
OXFORD, NC (March 12, 2015) – The Granville Health System Foundation announced that it will hold the 4th Annual Granville Ambulance Chase and Food Truck Rodeo. Proceeds will benefit the Granville Health System Foundation which supports Granville Health System in promoting and advancing the well-being of our community by providing quality health care and health-related services.
The event will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 in partnership with the Downtown Oxford Economic Development Corporation and offers something for everyone – from serious runners to families looking for a day of fun. The event includes a 5K Competitive Run, 5K Fun Run, 1-Mile Family Walk, and Kids Dash – a 10K competitive run has been added to the lineup of events this year.
The Food Truck Rodeo will be held for the entire community from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Littlejohn Street parking lot. There is no charge for admission into the Rodeo and a variety of trucks will be in attendance, including:
- Big John’s Hot & Spicy
- JAM Ice Cream
- Dawg Commander
- Baguettabouit
- Bare Bones
- We Be A Grillin’
- The Railhouse Brewery
- Aviator Brewery
Registration for the activities will begin at 3:00 p.m. inside Stovall’s Gifts or participants can pre-register online at active.com.
- 10K competitive race begins at 4:00 p.m. on Main Street and continues along a certified course
- 5K competitive race begins at 4:20 p.m. on Main Street and continues along a certified course
- 5K Fun Run begins at 4:25 p.m. on Main Street and is a great choice for participants and groups who are less concerned with their race time
- 1-Mile Family Walk begins at 5:00 p.m. on Main Street
- Kids Dash begins at 5:30 p.m. on Littlejohn Street
- Food Truck Rodeo from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Littlejohn Street Parking Lot
The cost for the competitive 10K is $38 for same-day registration or $35 pre-registered. Costs for the competitive 5K, Fun Run, and 1-Mile Family Walk are $28 for same-day registration or $25 pre-registered. All finishers will receive a tee-shirt as well as an event medal. The Kids Dash is just $10 with no late fee and includes a medal. There is no charge for admission into the Food Truck Rodeo.
