Wall-Breaking Marks the Start of Imaging Department Transformation at Granville Health System
Granville Health System (GHS) celebrated an exciting milestone in its ongoing commitment to caring for the community with a Wall-Breaking Ceremony on October 20, 2025, marking the official start of construction on its Imaging Department renovation project. Hospital leadership, medical staff, members of the GHS Board of Trustees and GHS Foundation Board joined together to commemorate the beginning of this important investment in high-quality imaging services for patients close to home.
This project, representing a $5.7 million investment, will modernize and expand the Imaging Department to bring state-of-the-art diagnostic technology and enhanced patient comfort to GHS. The upgrades include a new MRI, CT, and Nuclear Medicine technology, allowing GHS to continue meeting the growing healthcare needs of Granville County and surrounding areas.
Earlier this year, GHS completed two major upgrades in the department, a new Fluoroscopy Room and a digital X-ray room, both of which are already improving patient experiences.
“Our Imaging Department is often where patients begin their healthcare journey, and we want to make sure that journey starts with the best tools available,” said Adam McConnell, CEO of Granville Health System. “These upgrades reflect our ongoing commitment to provide exceptional, compassionate care close to home, so our patients can stay right here in our community for the services they need.”
Construction will continue through April 2026, transforming the Imaging Department into a modern, welcoming space designed for comfort, efficiency, and the latest diagnostic advancements. Throughout the process, GHS remains focused on minimizing any disruption to patient care and appreciates the community’s support as these important improvements take shape.
