Granville Primary Care & OB/GYN Expands Services
Granville Health System (GHS) recently announced that Granville Primary Care & OB/GYN will continue to increase access to quality OB/GYN care in the area. Dr. Akiva Gimpelevich will join the practice on February 17, 2020. Granville Primary Care & OB/GYN is already scheduling appointments for Dr. Gimpelevich. Gimpelevich attended medical school at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York. His residency was performed at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in New York and his fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery was done at Baylor Medical College in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Gimpelevich provides:
- Routine health maintenance including PAP smears, birth control, etc.
- Abnormal PAP care
- Care for pelvic organ prolapse
- Relief of pelvic pain and endometriosis
- Treatment for fibroid tumors
- Care for irregular menstrual periods
- Treatment for post-menopausal issues
- Routine care for pregnancy
- Vaginal or Cesarean delivery
- High risk pregnancy, including management of diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorders, coagulation disorders, etc.

The addition of OB/GYN services is part of a continued access to quality care occurring throughout Granville Health System. Recently, GHS has welcomed new providers in orthopaedics, pediatrics, family medicine, hospitalist medicine, and gastroenterology.
Gimpelevich said, “My practice will provide the comfort of a home birth with the safety and quality of a medical center. I look forward to joining this community.”
The practice is located at 110 Professional Park Drive on the campus of Granville Medical Center.
